Why-Doctors were convinced that in 1692 two girls were touched by “the evil hand” because the two girls were barking and on their knees like animals. They just stared into space and coughed and and made very strange noises. The two girls revealed who possessed them. Those were the three first witches accused. The first three witches names were TitubaSarah Good, and Sarah Osborne. How? - They tested to see if people were witches by many different tests. One of them was the touch test where if the witches touched a person and the person screamed. Another was the cake test where a rye cake was made with the accused urine and they would feed it to a dog. If the accused shrieked in pain while the dog ate it, they were a witch. People became hysteric and found any reaosn they could to accuse people of witchcraft Quotes-:"What god do you serve?" The god that made the heaven and the earth, though she was not willing to mention the word god. Her answers were in very wicked spiteful manner, reflecting snd retorting against the authority with base and abusive words, and many lies she was taken in. It was here said that her husband had said that he was afraid that she either was a witch or would be on very quickly. The worshipful Mr.Hathorne asked him reason for why he said so of her, wether he had ever seen anything by her.
